Finally dragging myslf to do this entry......
Nowadays really relutant to blog and all..........
So do appreciate and read okay.........

Yellow ribbon prison run 2009

*Sorry there is no picture for this run (no taking of photos is allowed in the prison)........

Surprisingly interesting race.......
Firstly, the bus was jam in the traffic(imagine running half a km to start a 10km race)........
Secondly, its the 1st time i race in wet weather condition(lucky it was just drizzle)...........
Thirdly, its the 1st time i went into changi prison!!...........
Lastly not to mention the post-race walk home(beyond home!!)...............

Flag off 730.............
Bro drove us to expo for the shuttle bus.......
Left expo at 7.............
On the way there came the jam just outside my ex-camp(commando camp).......
All the way till 728 when i step out of the bus.......
Damn it.........
I hate it when late.........
Its the same for the army half marathon when flag off is 530 and the time i pass my bag to that army personnel for deposit is 530..........
You know being late means that you must and will waste time and effort to overtake those slower runner(meaning you go longer in distance)............
*No offence to slower runners.................

Its the most cooling run i ever had..........
Lots of upslope...........
I was so busy overtaking when before i know it.......
Im at the prison for my final dash...........
I really love the idea of ending in the prison...........
Its a very nice scenery........
I can see where the end point is and all..........
Cool...........
Really cool............
Those were there know what i mean.........

Here comes the ironic part of the whole story..........
When its time to go.......
We didn know where to head as there was no shuttle bus in sight.........
A prison officer pointed the way to get out(but guess he didn picture we meant for the shuttle bus)..................
Shuttle bus is not taken from outside but in the prison itself.......
We climb all the way up and out b4 they tell us its wrong........
More ironic is yet to come.......
The volenteer outside tell us the shuttle bus will pick us up from outside the prison somewhere further downwards.......
And there we go.........
2 hunks in the process of being 'duah'(con)..........
Where the hell is there even any shuttle bus picking anyone up.............

The thing is............
Our house is in between expo and changi prison..........
So guess what............
The 2 of us walked all he way from changi, PASS OUR HOUSE!!! back to the Expo..............
We go like............''WTH, cun believe this is happening to us''..............
Well....................move on...............

Done Army Half Marathon a month back...........
As mentioned, i was late.........
Its my 1st half marathon............
Didnt get the desire timing though...........
But it was a great experience.......
I went alone(didn like the feeling of no 1 to wait for after crossing finish line, no 1 to share the run with)............
Got to see junior commandos(few of them flying pass me during the race).......
Saw my previous CO as well...........

I be doing a total of 10 races..............

22 November- Vertical Marathon(73 stories)

6 December- Standard Chartered(42km)

Glad that singapore is having more races now........

Can you imagine how boring it was from June to August........

Just trainings, no races.............

Now is not much training, just races!!!.............

You guys must be thinking im crazy right..........

Nah............Im clocking so many running races this year is because im planning to do Duathlon and Biathlon next year..........

Triathon the year after............

Hopefully complete an Ironman 2 years after next..........

Begin with the end in mind and go go go!!!............
